Family Service Manager

Full-time, Exempt

Do you have a passion for supporting families and children in the child welfare system? Are you skilled in grants and program management and interested in providing leadership to a dynamic department working to support family reunification in Ketchikan? Consider joining the WISH team as our Family Services Manager!

The Family Services Manager is responsible for the oversight of the Family Services Department, which works collaboratively with the Office of Children’s Services to provide services using a family-centered approach. Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or related field- or relevant work experience. Training preferred in family-centered services. Must have experience in personnel supervision and grants management.

This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multiple service agencies. Essential functions include, but are not limited to: case-planning and management, providing parent coaching and life-skills training, assisting clients with systems navigation, preparing families for reunification, and facilitating individual and group training sessions. Must be able to maintain timely and accurate service logs, progress reports, and all other documentation required by WISH and OCS. Knowledge of child-development required. Must have the ability to keep your composure during confrontational and stressful interactions in person, on the phone, and electronically.

Administrative Assistant

Part-time, non-exempt

Do you want to join a dynamic team working to end violence in our community? Do you have a degree or experience working in office administration? We are looking for you!

WISH is hiring a part-time Administrative Assistant. This position is located in the WISH administrative offices. The position includes a variety of job functions including but not limited to: data entry, maintenance of WISH website and social media, participation in community meeting and events as assigned by the Executive Director, and supporting the WISH Board of Directors.

Qualified candidates should have general office skills ad be able to type at least 45 words per minute, have strong written and verbal skills, and be able to prioritize, multi-task, and handle sensitive issues with maturity and compassion.
